These Sinjimoru cradles are very simple but clever and functional. It is basically just a C-shaped plastic holder that supports an iPhone, with a clip at the bottom that holds a standard Apple-style charging cable. The housing of the charging cable plug protrudes about a millimeter out of the clip, which is just enough to enable it to make a connection via the recess in a standard Apple bumper case. The charging cable exits through a slot in the rear of the cradle. The back of the cradle curves up to support the back of the phone. This is superior to a lot of cradles I've seen in which the weight of the phone is entirely supported by the charging connector (I've had some cheap cradles fail because of this, and I worry about the stress on the phone's internal connector). It will also work on a naked iPhone, and there is enough play that I think that it would also work with a case that covered the back of the phone, but I haven't tried it. The only negative that I can see is the phone sits a bit higher up than on some cradles that have built-in connectors. The cradle is quite light, but it provides enough support for touch control with the phone in the cradle; if you press harder than necessary, it will will start to tip backwards a bit, but it is not that easy to tip it over--you have to tip it backwards by about an inch to hit the tip-over point. Side-to-side stability is also good. The various models differ in color, and whether or not a charging cable is included. This green case approximates the color of the green Apple bumper, but is not a perfect match.
