The rubber straps on corners have not slipped, housed over the otter box defender case I am using.
( the non-slip sides of the otterbox defender case discourage elastic slippage.)
One elastic strap does cross over the speaker, this does not seem to impair volume significantly.
I now house my alu-pen stylus in the strap zone that was designed to allow for strapping the case over the knee or car head rest, this works well.
I would not use this latch w/o the otter box case, can see how the body can slip, without a case between the straps and iPad.
I have found this latch to be excellent, I can rotate the iPad while wearing the lanyard to take photos, it gives great versatility, and makes it the easiest for me to carry. I'm a teaching artist, the iPad is one of my instruments & I appreciate this latch design to use w my tough otter box.

The features of this kit compliment the otter box case so beautifully -
It offsets the relative weight of the protective case by offering so many ways to support, hold and carry it.
Love the lanyard, and the ability to carry the iPad hanging from the lanyard as shoulder strap is great.
Hand strap on the back - another good way to have flexible functionality.
The utility case is also excellent for carrying styli and other accessories, and does make a very nice support.
This case is coolness - I really like it. Nice going, OB.
