This is the answer if you have a cup holder within your view. The cradle securely holds my IPhone with it's case attached and the base of the holder expands securely into my cup holder. It took longer to open the box than it did to install holder into my Toyota. The charging port is still accessible and the support arm remains rigid once locked into position. There is a slight wobble to the support arm while going down the highway but that's to be expected. This works and looks so much better than using a suction cup or resorting to just laying the phone on the console or seat as I was doing. I would not hesitate to buy another or give this as a present.
